As a result, hydrocortisone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness in these types of conditions. It is indicated for the topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis, tinea cruris and tinea corporis caused by organisms like Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum in adult patients. Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot) is a dermatophyte infection of soles of feet and interdigital spaces.
